Currently only Nokia S60 3.0, 3.1 phones can use A-SMS. You can see the full supported phone list in the Download section.

How to start using A-SMS?
A:
Download the installation file from PC or mobile phone. Install the application. Then you can send create Animated messages from the phone's Message application.

Do I need to pay sending A-SMS?
A:
A-SMS are sent as plain text SMS. There is no difference and extra charges as compared to sending plain text SMS.

If the recipient does not have A-SMS installed, can I send A-SMS to him?
A:
Yes. The recipient will receive normal SMS. However any animations and emoticons will appear as plain texts.
Q:
Will I have problems viewing normal SMSs?
A:
No. You can always convert A-SMS back to normal SMS.

Why does copy and paste not working?
A:
On some phone models, copy and paste is currently not supported. If you want to copy some text from the message, please convert to text message first.

How to reply a plain text message or MMS in the A-SMS viewer?
A:
A-SMS are sent as plain text messages. For an A-SMS, you cannot directly reply using the phone's SMS / MMS writer.
Q:
What will happen if the recipient received an animation that he does not have?
A:
If the recipient received the animation he does not have, he will be asked to download the animation from our website directly. After download and installation, he can view the animation.

Can I backup A-SMS using Nokia PC Suite?
A:
Yes. But you must convert all A-SMS to normal SMS first before backup. After backup, you can convert all normal SMS back to A-SMS.

To make sure you can view your A-SMS normally, A-SMS must be installed to phone memory.
